Spear Mastery x Leadership?
A small attribute dilemma. While I don't think it would make a big difference, we know GW is a game of small advantages and things add up pretty fast so I like to cover all details.
I've been running this:
Leadership 12 + 1 + 1
Spear Mastery 10 + 1
Command 8 + 1 (shield req, couldn't get a req 8 yet)
And this bar:
Spear of Fury
Spear of Lightning
Anthem of Weariness
"There is Nothing to Fear!"
"Save Yourselves!"
Agressive Refrain
"For Great Justice!"
Focused Anger [E]
However I see some people drool over Spear damage and say it is well worth speccing 12 + 1 + 1 into Spear Mastery, run 11 + 1 Leadership and 7 + 1 Command with a 15 armor / req 8 shield (correct me if my numbers are off).
Do you think the small loss in Leadership is worth the damage considering my only skill on the Spear line is Spear of Lightning (Spear of Fury being Kurz)?
At 14 LD I have 1 extra second of TNTF! and 1 extra Energy return per shout/chant and can mantain 11 Spear Mastery.
At 12 LD I'd get to maybe 14 Spear Mastery, but how exactly those mastery levels would help my team more?
Please share your thoughts, thanks.

What would be the maximum armor on a r7, please? I might indeed afford the Armor loss for some damage, as I seem to hardly get hit.
You'd suggest 14(12+1+1) Lead, 12(11+1) Spear, 7(6+1) Command then?

there are r7 AI 16 shields around, but they are rare to say the least. R7 ai 15 are more common.

I suggest max spear and have 12 Leadership instead.
For the req 7 shield, check Guru's Trading Forums because from what I know that's the best place to get it.

Consider using the new and improved [soldier's fury] instead of [focused anger]. This will give you plenty of adrenaline to spam [save yourselves!], and frees up a skill slot since you won't need [aggressive refrain].
Regarding attributes: As long as you go with an even number for Leadership, you'll be fine. If you feel energy management is too hard, go higher Leadership. If you feel your team isn't doing enough damage, go higher Spear. Once you're tired of trying to decide, go get the r7 shield they've been telling you about.
Para runes are cheap, so you might even expiriment with a major leadership rune, thus allowing you to add a point to spear.

Stop suggesting this. It's not as good. Rachoth, Richardt, and myself have all explained independently why it's not as good.

Agreed with Snow. Not saying Soldier's Fury is ridiculously bad, just saying Focused Anger is much better.
As has been suggested, 15AL, req 7 Command shields are amazing for this. Somebody mentioned a 16AL req 7, but afaik these don't exist in either inscriptables or in Paragon attributes.
Also, adding another vote for 12+1+1 Spear, 11+1 Leadership, 6+1 Command.

The "correct" way to attribute a para....I, however, don't use it as I can't be bothered to find a 15al q7 shield; might get around to getting one some day.
